Jeanne Trammell sometimes known as Norma Jean is a local artist in middle Georgia. She works in watercolor, palette knife, oil, pastels and acrylics. Jeanne has traveled the world sketching and painting on location. Places include Ireland, Scotland, France, Italy Croatia, Spain, Greece, New Zealand, Australia, as well as Canada and United States.
Her philosophy is art is not something apart from our lives, it is about love, adventure, therapy, humor and most of all a celebration of life.
Jeanne is an artist, book illustrator, art instructor. Teaching in various locations in Georgia including ten years at Georgia College and State University for continuing education, she is a prolific artist with a busy teaching schedule, teaching adults and children. Nature is the driving force in her paintings.
She lives in Jasper County, near Eatonton and Monticello. She has two children and four grandchildren which are the love of her life! In the words of Pablo Picasso, “the meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away”.
